How much pick & mix do you actually need?

Because running out of sweets halfway through a party? Absolutely not. 😂

Whether you're creating a colourful candy buffet, filling individual party bags or simply putting out a big bowl of sweets for everyone to share, here's our simple Sweeties guide.

🍭 How Much Pick & Mix Per Person?

As a general guide, we'd recommend around 100g–150g of sweets per person if pick & mix is one of several treats available at your party.

If sweets are going to be a bigger part of the celebration — perhaps you're creating a full candy buffet or sweets are replacing a traditional dessert — you may want to allow around 150g–200g per person.

For example:

10 guests: approximately 1–2kg
20 guests: approximately 2–4kg
30 guests: approximately 3–6kg
50 guests: approximately 5–10kg

You don't have to get it absolutely perfect. We'd always rather have a few Sweeties left over than an empty sweet table. 👀🍬

🎉 What About Children's Parties?

For children's birthday parties, you can usually go towards the lower end of the range — especially if there's already cake, food and other treats being served.

Individual sweet bags are also a really easy option.

Instead of everyone diving into one giant sweet table, each guest gets their own little portion of pick & mix to enjoy at the party or take home afterwards.
